The audio of Vishal-starrer 'Vedi', an action film directed by Prabhudeva, will be released at a grand function in Chennai on September 1st. Music for the movie has been composed by Vijay Antony.

Produced by Vishal's brother Vikram Krishna for their home banner G K Film Corporation, 'Vedi' has Sameera Reddy as the heroine. A major part of the shooting took place in Calcutta, the capital city of West Bengal.

'Vedi' is a remake of Tollywood hit 'Souryam', which had Gopichand in the lead. Says Vishal, "It has been my long standing urge to work with Prabhudeva, as I admired his earlier directorial ventures 'Nuvvostanante Nenodattana' and 'Pokkiri." It has come true with 'Vedi'."

On her role, Sameera says, "I have a meaty role to play in 'Vedi'. It is an interesting script beautifully picturised by Prabhudeva."

The highlight of 'Vedi' will be the special appearance of music composer Devisri Prasad in a special song.
