December 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Sir Anthony Hopkins starrer supernatural thriller movie The Rites new trailer has been released. The film which will release on the big screens on January 28, 2011, is based on a true story.

Colin O'Donoghue plays the role of Michael Kovak, who has to attend an exorcism school in Vatican even though he is very reluctant with the idea. During a chance meeting with unorthodox priest called Father Lucas (Hopkins), he is introduced with the darker side of his faith.

Mikael Hafstroem has directed this movie, which will be distributed by Warner Bros. Michael Petroni has penned down the script of this supernatural thriller.

It is going to another great offering of Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins. If you are fan of thriller movies then this is one you can bet for.

The Rite is based on the book titled The Making of a Modern Day Exorcist, which was written by Rome based Matt Baglio. In 2009, the book was released over Doubleday. It highlights the real events of the author, who took part in a priest exorcist seminar in the Vatican. He has penned down his real experiences in this book.

The trailer itself is so frightening! So, we can expect a good thrilling moment when watching the full movie after January 28, 2011.
