A lot is cooking about the next project of Venkat Prabhu, ever since his last venture Mankatha, which is the 50th film of Ajith, turned out to be the blockbuster of the year.

While some say the director would join hands with 'Thala' once again to make a sequel to Mankatha, others say Suriya is the selected one to play the lead role in his forthcoming film.

As per cources, Suriya recently heard a one-liner narrated by Venkat Prabhu, and was thoroughly impressed by it. He immediately expressed his consent to work with the filmmaker.

Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu and his close aide, including younger brother Premgi Amaran, have left for Malaysia to take a break and to celebrate the success of Mankatha. They will return to India in a week's time after which the director would make a formal announcement on his next venture, it is said.
