The entire Telugu film industry gathered together to honour the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao, on completion of his 75th year in Tollywood, at a grand function in Hyderabad.

The event was jointly hosted by T Subbarami Reddy and the Telugu film industry to felicitate the 89-year-old actor. Speakers at the function demanded Bharat Ratna for the thespian, as they showered him with praise and gratitude.

In his acceptance address, ANR said, "I am the luckiest man in the world. Maybe luck favours the brave, and I should thank my mother who allowed me to be an actor from the age of nine, since I wasn't good at studies and did stage plays before getting into films."

Ramanaidu, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Murali Mohan, Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Burugupalli Sivarakrishna, K. S. Narayana, Aswini Dutt, Gopal Reddy, Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, and C Kalyan among others took part.
