According to sources, Ram was asked by his father Chiranjeevi to do so in order to build an image. "Apparently, his P.R. managers have advised the actor to control his visibility to build an aura of expectancy around." said a source.

In the mean time, others say that he was upset when he read negative comments over his wife Upasana Kamineni, as well as impolite inquires made about his marriage.
