Despite big bugdet films like Vijay and Shankar directed "Nanban" and Arya-Madhavan starrer "Vettai" hitting the screens, Vidharth has expressed hope that his film "Kollaikaran", which too is a Pongal release, will taste success.
"Because, I am sure that Tamil audience will always support meaningful ventures. They encouraged big time when my maiden venture as hero, "Mynaa", hit the screens in 2010. I expect the same for "Kollaikaran"," he says.
Explaining the reason, the actor, who was trained in Koothu Pattarai, says, 'After "Mynaa", I got to play a complete role in "Kollaikaran". It is a very good script, which deals with a carefree youngster.'
Saying that his aim is to establish himself as an actor who could do any type of roles, Vidharth adds his target is not mass films alone. 'I want to be part of different type of movies which would provide me meaty roles,' he says.
