Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is riding high on a success wave, thanks to the stupendous hit of ‘Mankatha’, tied the knot with Shilpa, his girlfriend, at 10.20 am at a simple ceremony at Tirumala-Tirupati.

Shilpa is a B. Pharm graduate from the University of Adelaide, Australia. Yuvan and Shilpa have been in love with each other for some time now and their wedding took place with the blessings of elders in both the families.

Yuvan’s father Ilaiyaraaja, mother Jeeva, elder brother Karthik Raja, his wife Rajee and children, Yuvan’s sister Bhavatharini, his uncle Gangai Amaran, his sons Venkat Prabhu and Premgi Amaran were those in the family who had turned up for the marriage.

The list of close friends include producer Sathyajothi Thiyagarajan, director Vishnuvardhan with wife Anu, actors Mirchi Siva and Panchu Subbu. A reception has been organized later today (Friday) at a star hotel in Chennai.
