'ZNMD' beats 'The Dirty Picture' in IIFA nominations

After all the major award ceremonies, the grandest of all IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) is all set to bag universal attention. This year the awards mark the 13th year of the ceremony.

While last year most of the awards have been swept by Ekta Kapoor's 'The Dirty Picture', in IIFA, as of now, Zoya Akhtar's movie 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' is leading the pack with maximum nominations under its belt.

The film is leading the nomination pack of 13th IIFA awards with 14 inclusions whereas biggest winner of all the awards Vidya Balan's 'The Dirty Picture' has been nominated in 13 categories.

The major categories where 'ZNMD' has been nominated are for the Best Picture, Best Story, Best Direction and Best Actor in a leading Role for Hrithik Roshan.

Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar have been nominated for Best Actor in Supporting roles, while Kalki Koechlin has been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Film's super hit music too has won a nomination as music composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have been nominated for Best Music Direction.

Farhan-Zoya's father Javed Akhtar has been nominated for Best Lyrics. On the other hand Milan Luthria's 'The Dirty Picture' has bagged 13 nominations under the categories of Best Actress, Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Actor in Supporting Role for Emraan Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah where as the latter has also been nominated in the Best Actor in a Negative Role category. 

Apart from these other categories in which the film has won nominations are for Best Story, Best Lyrics and Best Playback Singer. It remains to be seen who bags the maximum awards at the final award ceremony for the year 2011.
