Alia Bhatt is already in the buzz, hailed for her performance in 'Raazi' going by the official trailer. Meanwhile, the makers of Raazi are out with the first song of the film and going by the tone of the film, the song is emotionally evoking and patriotic.
The trailer begins with Jaideep Ahlawat aka Khalid Mir asking Alia Bhatt aka Sehmat her stand. He says, ''Kyu Raazi ho tum yeh Karne k Liye''. Here begins the song with the heartfelt voice of Arijit Singh who has crooned this emotionally enticing number that pleases our soul. The narrative from the music video showcases Sehmat's journey as an innocent girl turning into a spy just for her motherland. The female version is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and her voice suits Alia's character from the film. The makers of Raazi are out with 'Ae Watan' making video which clearly shows what efforts went under making such a breathtaking patriotic song. How well did the kids rehearse it. How exceptional were Arijit and Sunidhi while recording the song along with the flawless composition of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Talking about her role Alia said, ''She's a young, naive girl, who decides to risk her life for her country. This was the most beautiful aspect because I didn’t have to enact anything. Being brave doesn't mean that you don't get scared. The sequences were overwhelming, but I wasn’t afraid of holding on and going all the way. A lot of technical preparation went into playing Sehmat. I had to improve my Urdu and then unlearn what I had picked up because I play a Kashmiri and I wasn’t required to speak chaste Urdu or Hindi."
The film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rajit Kapur, Shishir Sharma and Alia's mother Soni Razdan in major roles. Raazi is slated to release on May 11.
