The veteran actor, director and writer Neeraj Vora passed away at 4 am on Thursday. The 54-year-old actor was admitted to Criti Care Hospital in Andheri. He was in coma for 10 months after he suffered a brain stroke in October 2016. He also suffered a massive heart attack in the same month last year. After such uncertain tragedy, he was shifted to filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala's house where one of the rooms was turned into ICU for Neeraj Vora. The industry members have expressed shock over the sad demise of the much-loved director.
Neeraj Vora's family gave a statement saying,"He will be taken to Mr Firoz Nadiadwala's house BARKAT, from where he will be taken to the Santacruz Electric Crematorium at 3 pm." Neeraj became famous and well-recognized after he wrote the Aamir Khan starrer film 'Rangeela'. Many years down the line he also directed Akshay Kumar starrer 'Khiladi 420'. As an actor, he featured in films like 'Virasat', 'Jung', 'Pukar', 'Mast', 'Satya', 'Mann', 'Daud', 'Department', 'Bol Bachchan' to name a few.
His colleague Paresh Rawal who worked with him in many movies tweeted, "Neeraj Vora – The writer n director of Phir Hera Pheri n many hit films is no more …Aum Shanti." Tusshar Kapoor also expressed his condolences on Twitter saying, "Shocked & saddened to hear of the demise of #Neerajvora jji! Had cast me for Golmaal 1 & directed me in the unreleased Run Bhola Run! RIP sir."
The death of a man who made many smile by his work is really saddening.
