The shooting for the magnum opus of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' has already been started. Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead the movie is a historic film with Ranveer Singh playing Alauddin Khilji and Deepika as Rani Padmavati. Shahid Kapoor essays the role of her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. As the film is a historic drama, the set is designed according to the ancient culture.

 An unfortunate incident happened on the sets of the film when a painter fell from a height of 5 feet and was declared dead after admitting to Kokilaben Hospital. A leading daily quoted a Police official saying, "Mukesh Dakia, a resident of Moracha Pada in Aarey Colony, fell from a height of 5 feet on his back. He sustained severe head injuries." The Zonal DCP was quoted saying, "We have filed an accidental death report (ADR) and are probing the matter - how he fell from that height. If any safety negligence is found, we will deal with it strictly."

Even Deepika Padukone was moved by his sudden death and she took to Twitter to express his condolences to his family. She tweeted, "shocked and saddened by the news...may his soul rest in peace and my most sincere condolences to his family...🙏."
