The teaser begins with a mobile phone massacre as all the phones are pulled off in the sky like a magnet and there is a belt of all these phones flying mysteriously, leaving the crowd in shock. Well we only get a glimpse of Akshay as D.R Richard who looks horrifying in his avatar and the makers could have given more of it, but the main star Rajinikanth is focused all way long. They look for solution as Adil Hussain is the minister asking what to do now to which Thalaivar responds 'This is beyond science' hinting the towards the humanoid 'Chitti' who was the saviour in the first instalment. Talking about the film's delay, Akshay Kumar said to a leading daily, ''Tell your cameraman to tilt at my hand, my fingers are crossed. I hope they release 2.0. It is a beautiful film and there is a lot in that film. I have not seen a single frame of 2.0 until now other than a few shots during dubbing."
'2.0' is being touted as the 'spiritual successor' to the 2010 Rajinikanth blockbuster 'Enthiran'. The film has been shot in Tamil as well as Hindi and is reportedly being dubbed in 13 other languages. The film's music is lent by Oscar award winner music maestro A.R. Rahman, 2,0 is slated to release on November 29.
