The 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2011 (South) was a star studded event full of glitz, glamour and grandeur.
Filmfare this year, did not only award the best performers of the previous year, but also witnessed some beautiful moments, where the stars were overwhelmed with joy and pride.
Kolaveri star Dhanush was declared as the best actor for his performance in 'Aadukalam' and Anjali was honoured with the best actress award for her performance in 'Engeyum Eppodhum'.
Shruti Haasan received the Best Debut trophy for her Tamil Film '7aam Arivu' and Telugu film 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu', by her father Kamal Haasan. The moment was undeniably magical for the father-daughter duo, who took a few moments to complement each other.
Aishwarya Dhanush, seemed completely awestruck by her husband's performance on Kolaveri and other medleys. Looked like the pretty lady was falling in love with Dhanush, all over again.
Veteran director SP Muthuraman was bestowed with the Life Time Achievement award. The star was truly overwhelmed and said "Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are like my two eyes and like my sons."
59th Filmfare, in its full glory, will always be remembered by all.
