(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Abbie Cornish has likened her first meeting with Robert De Niro to a near death experience.

The 28-year-old Australian star is appearing alongside the legendary actor in Limitless. Abbie says her reaction to the 67-year-old when she met him on the films set was hazy as she was taken aback by his presence.

"It was just the most amazing thing for me," she is quoted as saying. "Meeting him was like this fog for a moment. I know it sounds silly but when I saw his face, all his characters and performances flashed before my eyes. Just like in a near death experience. It was surreal and wonderful, and amazing."

The pair are starring alongside Bradley Cooper in the Thriller, due to be released later this month. The film tells the story of Eddie Morra, a copywriter who discovers a top-secret drug which gives him super human abilities. As the powers begin to change his life, a group of killers trais his every move.

Robert plays Carl Van Loon in the movie - a high powered figure in the financial world and the man Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper) chooses to lend his newfound knowledge to.

The iconic actor who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Godfather Part II can also be seen in action film The Killer Elite with Jason Stathan and Clive Owen, due out later this year. (C) Cover Media
