(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Abigail Breslin has revealed she has huge respect for stage actors.

The American actress is currently promoting animated movie Rango, in which she voices the character of Priscilla. The star says she was lucky enough to appear on Broadway last year and relished the experience.

I did Broadway last year, I did The Miracle Worker and I got to play Helen Keller and it was an amazing experience. Id always wanted to play Helen Keller, shes one of my heroes and to get to do it on Broadway, since Im from New York, its just the most iconic New York thing and I got to work with an unbelievable cast and an amazing director and crew, she told Cover Media. I have a huge respect for stage actors because its a really, really hard job to do. Its really intense. But that was an amazing experience.

Abigail, 14, has the utmost respect for Helen Keller, the woman whose autobiography The Miracle Worker is based on. The prolific author campaigned for womens suffrage, workers rights and socialism. When I was about seven I got the first book that had chapters, and it was a Helen Keller biography for second graders. I think there was a biography every grade in elementary school so this was the one that I was on the first time and I just loved it, I think that shes just a really inspiring person. She overcame so many obstacles, she added.

Meanwhile, Abigails latest movie Rango follows a chameleon as he tries to help a town whose water supply has run out, and is released in the UK on March 4. (C) Cover Media
