(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alex Pettyfer attended last nights premiere of Beastly despite a fire occurring at his home.

The 20-year-old British actor-and-model appears alongside Vanessa Hudgens in the fantasy, which tells the tale of a New York teen who ends up being transformed into a beast in a bid to find love.

According to CBS Los Angeles a fire was reported at Alexs home near Beverly Hills early yesterday evening. Despite the incident, the hunk walked the red carpet and chatted with fans before doing some interviews and introducing the movie.

Alex did leave early though, and it was assumed he went to deal with the effects of the blaze.

The movie star told KCAL 9s Suzanne Marques he was glad to be at the premiere, and appeared reluctant to discuss the fire.

Fortunately there were no casualties and Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said the blaze was put out in under 25 minutes.

Alex has been romantically linked to Glee actress Dianna Agron his co-star in action movie I Am Number Four although they are no longer thought to be together. Despite this, her representative has spoken about the incident and seemed keen to prevent any panic spreading.

"There was an electrical fire in the garage while no one was home. The house was not burned. No one was hurt," a rep for Dianna told ET. (C) Cover Media
