(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Adele was dreading the response to her second album, but is over the moon it has done so well.

The British singer is currently promoting 21, her follow up to the global hit 19. Her second offering has received critical acclaim and is proving to be a chart success in countries across Europe and Australia. Adele admits she was terrified people wouldnt like her second album as much as her debut LP, but is now feeling more confident about the new material.

I am over the moon, she told BBC Newsbeat. "I wasn't expecting this. I wasn't expecting an eighth of what's happened. There's no other feeling like doing well from where you're from. It's the most amazing feeling."

The 22-year-old star has attracted fans all over the world with her smoky, blues-inspired lyrics, but Adele still cant believe she is so successful. The award-winning singer was fully aware of the pressure on musicians to produce a hit second album and she feels like she has been lucky to continue impressing the industry.

"Some people have come back with second records and no-one liked them so I feel like the best blagger in the world," she added. (C) Cover Media
