"Born with a silver spoon"... If any one has epitomized this phrase, then it has to be the Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan's new born baby. Today, after much speculation over the date of the baby's birth, Aishwarya gave birth to a very healthy little baby girl at the 7 Hills hospital in Marol, Mumbai.

Today's day was one of the most awaited days not just for the Bachchans, but also for the entire country. As the country got ready to welcome Aishwarya-Abhishek's first child, the media had also readied itself for the big day. Speculations were already underway on when the child will be born. Parents-to-be were hoping hard that both the Bachchan baby and their own little bundle would arrive on the magic date.

Right from the day the announcement of Aishwarya’s pregnancy was made; Aishwarya & the baby came under the media scanner. Is it a girl or a boy? Will she have twins? Will she have a C-section so that the child will be born on a pre-decided date? What is right, what is wrong? The un-born child had become the “child of controversy”.

The baby who hadn’t even come in to the world yet, had become the favourite child of media. Now finally, the baby has arrived and what a welcome it has received. The proud parents have received best wishes and congratulatory messages from their Bollywood friends on Twitter as well.

While Sr Bachchan tweeted this morning, "I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !!" , proud father Abhishek Bachchan's first tweet was ,"IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! :-)))))".
