October 12, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Star Plus has announced Akansha Sharma and Rouhan Abbas as the winner of Amul Chhote Ustaad-Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz on this Sunday night. Thus, the teenagers became the winner of the title Chhote Ustaad.
The 13- year-old Akansha Sharma belongs to Amritsar and 13-year-old Rouhan was from Lahore. The Jodi of these two young singers beat the other two finalist pair of Sayantan Paul-Ahsan Ali and Rishabh Chaturvedi-Farrukh Ali Moon.
The winning jodi received a cash award of Rs.20 lakhs. Renowned Indian singer Sonu Nigam and Pakistani singer Rahet Fateh Ali Khan were the judges of the singing reality show. Children in the age group of 8-13 years participated in the show from both India and Pakistan.
The contest ran for more than 3 months and many Bollywood celebrities appeared as guest judges in the show during this period. The show started with 10 pairs of singers with each pair having one Indian and one Pakistani singer.
The grand finale episode was graced by the cast of upcoming movie Golmaal 3, which included Kareena Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade and director Rohit Shetty.
Legendary singer Asha Bhosle was also present in the final episode of the show.
Abhas Joshi and actor Omi Vaidya of '3 Idiots' fame were the hosts of the show.
