Veteran actor Kamal Haasan escaped a near fatal incident recently when fire broke out in his Chennai residence. He and his staff members escaped unhurt from the incident which happened on Friday late at night. Kamal informed his fans about the incident on his social media platform Twitter by tweeting, "Thanks to my staff. Escaped a fire at my house. Lungs full of smoke, I climbed down from the third floor. I am safe No one hurt . Goodnight."

His fans were in a shock when they discovered about the incident. They started posting messages on twitter expressing their concern towards the actor. The actor later thanked all his fans by again tweeting, "Thanks for all the love and concern. Now off to sleep. Good night indeed:)."

Kamal recently lost his elder brother Chandrahasan. On the work front Kamal is gearing up for his next film with Sabash Naidu.
