(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amanda Seyfried likes to play heroic characters in films as she is often scared in real life.
The actress stars in the big screen adaptation of the well-known childrens fairytale Red Riding Hood. The 25-year-old plays the title character, who develops a close bond with a murderous werewolf. Amanda believes she was born to play such roles, as it contrasts with her personality off screen.
I dont see myself as fearless in real life, so thats why I like to hide into these characters. I just want to make sure I can get across that this woman is good and she is strong and should inspire young women to be confident, she told the BBC.
The star was anxious to portray the heroine in a strong light and do justice to the lavish production. The film is set in the medieval era, and Amanda was keen to throw herself into the dramatic outfits.
The costumes say it all and I feel you do have a responsibility to wear it well and be that fearless young female lead, she added. (C) Cover Media
