A new dimension with 3-dimension!!!

A lot was cooking over Ambuli, a film by directors Hari Shankar and Harish Narayanan of Orr Iravu fame. Promoted as Tamil cinema's first 3D stereophonic film, Ambuli created quite a lot of expectations, much ahead of its release.

The end-product fulfills all the expectations, besides taking the audience on a fun-filled roller coaster ride. In other words, the viewer is shifted to the place where the story happens and he/she is in fact is a witness to all the events.

It's technology that has helped the directors a lot. Kudos to the filmmakers for making use of the facilities available to the maximum possible extent.

Ajay (Amudhan) and Srijith (Vendhan) are friends and collegemates. One day, Ajay goes to a village to meet his love interest Poongavanam (Sanam). The belief in the village is that whoever crosses through a corn field is attacked by a ghost called Ambuli.

As Ajay goes through the farm, he comes across the super natural element. He narrates his experience to Vendhan and the friends set out on a journey to dig out the truth behind Ambuli. During their trip, they come across Sengodan (Parthiban), who stays alone in the forest. As the truth about Ambuli is uncovered, shocks and surprises await everyone.

The lead actors, though newcomers, have performed well. Seasoned artistes like R Parthiban, Thambi Ramaiah and Kalairani are an apt selection to their respective roles.

Hari Shankar and Harish Narayanan have succeeded big time in providing a different experience to the audience. They are ably backed by cinematography, editing, music and visual effects department. Watch Ambuli, for films of this kind are rare in Kollywood.
