Angelina Jolie has admitted that she is fortunate to be alive after her wild past put her in some "dangerous" situations.
The 36-year-old Oscar winner claims that she still has a bad girl side but has calmed down a lot in recent years now she is a mother to six children.
Angelina opened up to 60 Minutes for a show airing this Sunday about her past exploits and where she is in her life now.
The globetrotting humanitarian and actress admits to having a troubled youth and says she is lucky she is still here.
"I went through heavy, darker times and I survived them," Angelina said. "I didn't die young, so I'm very lucky. There are other artists and people who didn't survive certain things."
Angelina declined to elaborate on what those "certain things" were but said that she came close to having a very different life.
"I think people can imagine that I did the most dangerous and I did the worst, and for many reasons I shouldn't be here," she said candidly.
"You think of those too many times when you came close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken too far."
Now in a stable relationship and a happy family life with partner of six years, Brad Pitt, Angelina added that she still has an element of danger to her personality but reserves it just for her man.
"I'm still a bad girl. I still have that side of me," she confirmed. "It's just in its place now It belongs to Brad."
