(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Antonia Campbell-Hughes is not a fan of Sucker Punch because its too obvious.
The Northern Irish actress has starred in a host of British TV shows and appeared in 2009 drama film Bright Star alongside Abbie Cornish.
The 28-year-old is currently starring in Lotus Eaters, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last weekend.
Antonia has revealed she likes to watch mainstream movies, but wasnt impressed by Zack Snyders action adventure movie Sucker Punch, which starred Abbie and Vanessa Hudgens.
I did see Sucker Punch. I dont like it, she confessed to Cover Media. I dunno, its a brilliant movie, Im sure it will make lots of money, but its not my personal taste. Its a teenage boy movie! It is what it is. I guess everyone likes a bit of action hero and machine guns stuff. I thought the costumes were a little obvious.
Despite not being a fan of the fantasy movie, Antonia admires one of the films stars. She has revealed that she had a lot of respect 28-year-old Abbie following their stint working on Bright Star together.
Abbie is amazing. I was a fan. I loved her in Somersault that she did years ago, her starter film. I think shes really dignified and shes an exceptional woman, she said.
Antonia loves to work alongside a range of actresses because she always learns something from each of them. She believes emerging talent should be appreciated just as much as seasoned actors and actresses.
You meet a lot of amazing seasoned actresses that have been around for decades and theyve done fantastic work and theyre very happy with their life. I respect them equally to the young new actresses that I meet along the way as well. I like the combination, she added.
Lotus Eaters, which is directed by Alexandra McGuiness, follows a group of youngsters from Londons social elite who lead an excessive lifestyle involving lavish parties. The film centres for the most part on the story of Alice, played by Antonia, a struggling model who is distracted and looking for something else amidst her somewhat crazy lifestyle. (C) Cover Media
