(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dave Grohl doesnt like violence although he did once knock out a man who tried to steal T-shirts during a punk tour.

The 42-year-old musician is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of rock group Foo Fighters, and although he leads a rather rock and roll lifestyle, the star claims he has a calm approach to disputes.

However, one thing Dave cannot abide is theft, and he has recounted losing his cool when attending a punk tour and witnessing a man stealing.

Last time I punched someone was on a punk rock tour and they were trying to steal T-shirts, and I f**king knocked the guy out, Dave told Empire.

He was drunk and German, so it wasnt that difficult.

Although Dave has jokingly bragged about his brawling prowess, the rocker would actually prefer to use his mental capacities during an argument. He usually tries to diffuse tension by making angry people laugh, or making them look foolish by saying something witty.

I dont like to be in fights. Id rather outwit someone or turn a situation around into something that you can laugh at, he added. (C) Cover Media
