Anurag Kashyap: The Game changer in Bollywood

Anurag Kashyap, a man who actually redefined Bollywood movies. He picked up the untouched topics those striked an exact balance between a desi drama and a much polished elite films in India. On his 43rd birthday we take a look at his best movies that just changed the perspective of the audience towards films..

Bombay Velvet:- Set in 1960's period, it was a film larger than life, creating a replica of Mumbai was highly appreciable. Film got mixed reviews as critics gave a thumbs up for doing full justice for its retro look and feel, performances, styling showed in the movie.

Gangs Of Wasseypur:- This film got him in the spotlight. Screened at several international film festivals, it narrated a story of a coal mafia from 1940 till 2009. Soon many filmmakers followed in his footsteps of making dark films with a rural touch.

Dev D:- A screen adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel 'Devdas', it represented the definition of modern relationship in today's time.  And don't forget this Devdas stuck the right chords of the audience.

No Smoking:- This film dealt with a very common issue of smokers, who strive hard to quit smoking, though it had a rather confusing climax, it was an applaud worthy film.

Black Friday:- Based on the book by Hussain Zaidi about 1993 Mumbai bomb blast, the film opened new avenues for the filmmakers to take real tragic and sensitive topics and put it up on the silver screen.
