Ashton Kutcher has indicated that there is still hope for his marriage by wearing his wedding ring today.

The 33-year-old actor's estranged wife Demi Moore announced late last year that she was ending their six-year marriage following reports he had cheated on her with Sara Leal.

There had been rumours that Ashton has moved out of the marital home and there was no chance of a reconciliation.

But Ashton appeared at the TCA panel for Two and a Half Men in Pasadena, California wearing his wedding band which he fiddled with frequently.

The actor also debuted his new clean-shaven look and his shaggy hair and beard that he sported since he started the sitcom was gone.

Ashton said that the smoother appearance is "related to the show, completely" and told the panel to "tune in" to find out what happens.

"I'm sure there will be people now that I've cut my hair and shaved my beard that want me to have long hair and a beard," he laughed.

Ashton added that he "had a blast" filming the show since taking over from Charlie Sheen.
