She hails from the South Indian film industry, but the fact that she has been working in Bollywod films, her Hindi too is decent enough. But now that she has been residing in Mumbai she has been made to pick up the local lingo aka Marathi as well. 

No, no...before you jump the guns and make assumptions, allow us to tell you that the actress is not learning Marathi due to some political pressure, but it is a preparatory step for her next. 

Asin, who stars opposite Akshay Kumar and Himesh Reshammiya plays a Maharashtrian girl in the film titled 'Khiladi 786'.

Directed by Ashish R Mohan, the film has Asin play Mithun Da's sister, and it is for perfecting the role that she has been learning the nitty-gritties of the culture. 

The actress has not only been learning the language, but was recently seen dressed up as a Maharashtrian bride on the sets for a wedding sequence of the same film. She wore the typical navvari green kashta sari and all the necessary Maharashtrian jewelry. 

Now that's what we call dedication, after all as they say 'Jaisa Desh Vaisa Bhesh'. Keep up the good work Asin!
