Athvaitha had acted in 'Azhagar Saamyin Kuthirai' directed by Suseentharan. She said that it was a different kind of experience acting in the film. She, while speaking to the media recently said, �I hail from Bangalore. It was a new experience for me to act in the villages of Tamil Nadu. As far as this film is concerned, nobody had make-up. I was so happy to act in this wonderful village story. Many are asking how I got the opportunity to act in Tamil films. My first film was 'Sagagal' but 'Azhagar Saamyin Kuthirai' was released first. I had entered films through a friend Murali from Bangalore. He was the one who told me about 'Sagagal' and brought me to Chennai for the photo shoot. I was selected for that film and later on I got introduced to Suseentharan by the scriptwriter of 'Sagagal'.�
