(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Avril Lavigne "doesn't believe" in fighting.
The Canadian singer has spoken out for the first time since being attacked over the weekend.
Avril took to social networking site Twitter to vent her rage at the incident.
"I don't fight. I don't believe in it. To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f**ked (sic)," she wrote.
Avril was involved in a fight outside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel early on Sunday morning. Pictures of her boyfriend Brody Jenner emerged with a bloodied face. He was hit in the head with a bottle while trying to break it up.
The songstress went on to clarify the damage they had done. Avril explained that she would never condone violence.
"As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer (sic)" she tweeted.
When the police arrived on the scene the alleged attackers had all left. Avril had also departed leaving Brody to report the incident.
Brody later went to hospital for the cut to his head and also took to Twitter to talk about the night's events.
"Interesting Saturday night. Just got of the hospital with a new scar on my face (sic)," he typed. (C) Cover Media
