The Big Bachchans of Indian cinema, father Amitabh and son Abhishek are teaming up for the remake of Sreenu Vaitla’s Telugu film Dhee.

The film being directed by Inder Kumar has Sanjay Dutt playing the role of Sri Hari, who enthralled the audience as Shankar Goud, the old city don. Bachchan junior and senior will be seen playing the roles played by Chandmohan and Manchu Vishnu.

Rascals producer Sanjay Ahluwalia and Vinay Choksey have bought the rights of the south Indian film and they have signed Indra Kumar to direct the project. Sanjay Dutt's business manager Dharam Oberoi and close friend Rafi Kazi will also co-produce the film.

The last time Abhishek and Amitabh were expected to reprise two roles in the remake of a Telugu movie was Okkadu. It was planned that Big B would play Mukesh Rishi's role, as the hero's father, in the movie. The project was shelved and the film was never remade.
