There was a huge hullabaloo over highly successful Bollywood film 'Barfi's triumph of been sent as India's official entry for the 85th Academy Awards this year.
The film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz and Priyanka Chopra in the lead was directed by Anurag Basu who was praised for his strong hold on the sensitive issue of emotions of the under privileged in the film.
The film was highly praised and did commercially well which influenced the decision makers to let it represent India in the 'Best Foreign Film' category. But unfortunately the film failed to make it to the top nine.
Anurag however has no qualms over it as he accepts the fact that others were way better.
"I am not disappointed. All the other films are so good, so I have no complaints," said Basu.
Well, we can just say, better luck next time!
