While the year's most anticipated and awaited film 'Dabangg 2' has released with a bang and has been minting crores at box office, there is one controversy which has hit the film.
On one side zillions of fans are flooding the theatres to catch 'Dabangg 2' while on the other side, William Nicholas Gomes from Centre for Applied Human Rights in University of York of UK, has slammed the film for glorifying the physical torture given by police forces.
There is a particular scene where Salman justifies the act of police men beating up goons for their crimes, and it is this scene to which he has objected.
William demands that on human grounds, the scene should be deleted from the film in order to avoid people supporting the inhuman act of beating up the accused of any crimes. He has appealed to the makers of the film to remove the sequence where film’s protagonist Chulbul Pandey played by Salman Khan glorifies the practice of torture by police forces. According to him this could increase people's support in favour of custody torture.
