Call it the clash of titans, as films starring two top actors of Kollywood, Vijay and Suriya, hit the screens amid high expectations on Wednesday. We are talking about Velayudham and 7aum Arivu.

Though Shah Rukh Khan's 'Ra One' is also in the race, the fight is between Velayudham and 7aum Arivu, as they are direct Tamil films and they have in the lead two leading stars, who have huge fan following in these parts.

Produced by Aascar V Ravichandran and directed by Jayam M Raja, 'Velayudham' is about a milkman who becomes a messiah of masses. 'I am sure that my fans would welcome Velayudham,' says Vijay.

Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and directed by A R Murugadoss, 7aum Arivu is a sci-fi entertainer that features Suriya in a dual role- a circuse artise and a Buddhist monk. 'We all have given our best. The rest is in the hands of the audience,' says Suriya.
