Bobbi Kristina Brown: I feel Whitney's spirit

12th March 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina feels comforted by her mother's "spirit".

The late superstar's 19-year-old child spoke to Oprah Winfrey in a TV interview special which aired on her OWN Network on Sunday night.

Bobbi recalled how the night after Whitney's tragic passing, she was unable to bring herself to sleep in her mother's Atlanta mansion.

However, her attitude changed the following night after she communicated with Whitney on a spiritual level.

"I woke up and I heard her say, 'All right, come home now.' And when I came back home, I felt humble, I felt OK," she told Oprah.

"I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, 'Keep talking to me. I got you.' She's always with me. I can always feel her. I can always feel her with me. She always asked me, 'Do you need me?' And I caught myself, out of nowhere, I didn't even know I said it, I said, 'I'll always need you.'"

Bobbi also explained how she spent her mother's last day. Her final moments with Whitney are ones she will always treasure.

"It was so early in the morning. I went to go get her and I said, 'Come lay with me,'" Bobbi said. "She stayed with me all night and all day. She was just rubbing my head and holding me. I just slept in her arms."

Shockwaves were sent around the world when Whitney was found unresponsive in a Los Angeles hotel room on February 11. The exact cause of her death is yet to be confirmed, as toxicology results are still pending.

Bobbi believes she should stay strong and positive in memory of her international superstar mother.

"I have to carry on the legacy," Bobbi insisted. "We're going to do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing."

Whitney's sister-in-law Patricia Houston also shared her thoughts on the star's death in the interview.

Whitney was found in a bathtub in the hotel room, and Patricia says the cause of the late singer's death remains a mystery to her.

"Don't know how she got [in the tub]... I just know they had to pull her out of [the tub]," she mused in the TV interview.

Patricia also revealed that Whitney's death was written "on the wall".

"Did you think that drugs would end up taking her? Did you think that?" Oprah asked her, before Patricia answered: "The handwriting was kind of on the wall. I would be kidding myself to say otherwise."
