Anurag Kashyap's ambitious film, 'Bombay Velvet' began with low remark at the box office. The much-awaited film could not make it big in comparison to the hype it created and thumbs down followed.

The film was commissioned in big budget but the collection of the first week could not even touch Rs. 25 crore mark. The overall gossip is Bombay Velvet collected Rs. 22 crore nett in the opening week.
