Charlie Sheen upset by memoir money

24th March 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen is said to be upset he has only been offered $1 million for his memoir as he thought it should have commanded at least $10 million.

The troubled actor has hit the headlines due to his bizarre behaviour recently, with his public ranting causing him to lose his job on Two and a Half Men. His belligerent outbursts and claims about how great his life is have won him fans across the globe and Charlie is said to have been keen on the idea of writing an autobiography.

He has battled substance abuse problems and spent time in rehab recently, while his father Martin Sheen called him emotionally crippled and likened his addiction issues to cancer. Charlie rubbished that claim, citing his current relationship with two women who he lives with as proof his life is on track.

Charlies book agent Peter McGuigan has been approaching publishing houses for offers on Charlies book, which has the working title Apocalypse Me. The actor apparently thought he should get at least $10 million for the tome, and was disappointed to only receive an offer of $1 million.

Most shied away from Sheen's memoir, fearing that his erratic rants and his $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. and Two and a Half Men co-creator Chuck Lorre would leave little left to reveal, reports New York Post.

It remains unknown whether Charlie has secured a book deal for his life story, with the newspaper reporting he is now no longer in a working relationship with Peter something the agent claims is very, very wrong.

Charlie has not commented on the claims as according to one of his girlfriends he has decided to stop talking to mainstream media now. (C) Cover Media
