Speculations are rife in the film industry and political circles that Megastar Chiranjeevi, who recently merged his Praja Rajyam with the Congress, will soon be elected as a Union Cabinet Minister.
Chiranjeevi, the star campaigner of the party in the by-elections, met Congress President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi recently and submitted a detailed report listing out the reasons for the party's poor performance in the elections.
He made it clear to the party presidents that he was no way responsible for the party's debacle, particularly in the Tirupati constituency which he has vacated after his elevation to the Rajya Sabha.
He said the friction was the cause of the defeat and warned that the party would lose their power in the year 2014, if the step-motherly treatment P.R.P. workers continued.
