Karate girl, "Lady Bruce Lee" Ayesha of 'Jaya He' and 'Chennamma IPS' fame has now turned into a journalist – for her forthcoming film 'Bete'. Clad in a pink saree, the 21-year-old Ayesha looked stunning. Ayesha plays a journalist who exposes a cyber crime, said director Srinivas Koushik. Koushik got the script ready based on some incidents of cyber crime as reported in the papers recently. Interestingly, this is the first time a film on cyber crime is being made in Kannada.

To make 'Bete' as "interesting" as possible, Srinivas has inserted an item song and other masala elements. He is also the villain of the film. "There are no quality villains in the industry these days and so I chose to do the role himself," Srinivas grinned. To show how important the item song was for the film, Srinivas had got dancer Alisha to attend the press meet. Alisha of course was all smiles and no talk! 'Bete' also has Akshay, who was launched in 'Ganga Kaveri' and Mumbai lass Ishita playing lovers.

The director has given them duets while Ayesha gets to punch the goons not only with her Karate chops but her pen as well! Anant Nag plays Ayesha's father in the film.
