Daniel Radcliffe hoping for Hamm future

19th September 2012

Daniel Radcliffe would be "very, very happy" if her ever turned into Jon Hamm.

The pair are set to play the same doctor at different stages of his life in a four-part miniseries, A Young Doctor's Notebook, by Russian writer and playwright Mikhail Bulgakov.

Daniel has joked about his future as Hollywood heartthrob Jon.

"I'm going to turn into Jon Hamm. That's incredible news," he laughed in an interview with MTV News. "If that comes to pass, I will be very, very happy."

Daniel is intrigued to see how audiences receive the unusual series.

"It's only four parts of 20-minute or so episodes, but in that there is so much comedy and tragedy," he explained. "It's very, very dark and also very funny.

"It's just a weird comedy, and I think people are really going to enjoy it."

Daniel explained A Young Doctor's Notebook as a "meditation on memory".

"[Jon] as the older doctor in 1935, is remembering his youth and reliving it again by reading the diary he kept when he was a young doctor."
