(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dave Grohl has promised there is not one sleepy ballad on the new Foo Fighters album.
Dave is lead singer in the American rock band, which also comprises of Nate Mendel on bass, guitarists Pat Smear and Chris Shiflett, and drummer Taylor Hawkins.
The band are famed for their rock and roll anthems, and Dave is proud to say their highly-anticipated seventh studio album is now complete and wont disappoint fans of their edgy style.
"There's 11 songs and front to back there's not one sleepy ballad," enthused the rocker.
The Foo Fighters made the record at Daves home studio, and went back to basics to unearth an original rock sound. The albums title and release date is yet to be confirmed, although fans will be eager to get their hands on it, as it sees Dave reunited with legendary producer Butch Vig.
Dave and Butch collaborated on Nirvana's 1991 iconic album Nevermind back when Dave was drummer for the now defunct band.
"Butch swears that he's had more fun making this record than any other record than he's made in his life - that's a lot of records," beamed Dave in an interview with BBC Radios Zane Lowe. "The process was so simple. It was really in my garage. You could put a mini van in there and that's it.
"The fact that we did it without any computers it was just really simple. It just sounds massive. (C) Cover Media
