When Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' released in India last year, it broke many records and bagged awards too. It was also announced that the film will be releasing in the neighbouring country China. Finally the film released and has received a massive box-office response. The film has pocketed Rs. 80 crores in the opening weekend.

A leading daily quoted a spokesperson from Aamir Khan's production team saying as, "The entire team of 'Dangal' is thrilled with the love and affection the film has got from audiences across China. The weekend box office number of Rs 81 crore surpasses the previous Indian film record in China which was held by 'PK.' The team is also overwhelmed with the outpour of emotion on the public platforms and in the media for the film. We would like to thank our partners in China for their efforts in making 'Dangal' accessible to cinema lovers across China." 

Earlier Aamir Khan's 'PK' became the highest Bollywood film to earn Rs. 100 crores in just 16 days of its release.
