Vishal Bhardwaj helmed un-titled crime drama featuring Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in lead roles is set to go on floors from March 5. It has been almost three years when they shared screen space in Shoojit Sircar's mild comedy-drama Piku.

Produced by T-Series, Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures and KriArj Entertainment the film will start shooting proceedings very soon. Earlier, the film was set to be directed by Honey Trehan, but certain creative differences forced Vishal Bhardwaj to take the project. Deepika-Irrfan's quirky chemistry from their previous outing was loved by the audience, and this time the actors will essay more of a serious role.

Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment told one of the leading tabloid,"Vishal sir is on the recce currently and the shooting for the film will kick-start on March 5 in Nepal." Meanwhile, a source close to the development revealed that Irrfan is scheduled to meet Vishal next week to discuss details before the film goes on floors.

Sources suggest that the film is based on the life of mafia queen Rahima Khan and is adapted from Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, Prernaa clarified that the film is a work of fiction. "This film is not a biopic. Vishal sir is directing a fictional thriller that deals with the topic of revenge."
