(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Demi Lovato checked into a treatment facility to stop a small problem getting worse.

The 18-year-old star dropped out of a tour with the Jonas Brothers over the weekend, with her representative confirming she is now seeking help for an undisclosed issue. The young star has checked into a facility to be treated for emotional and physical issues.

Those close to Demi are glad she has decided to take time out from her hectic schedule to focus on herself, and are convinced she will be back on form before long.

She needed help before a smaller problem got worse. She is doing OK, a source told Us Magazine. She has been forced into showbiz from a young age and that puts tremendous pressure on someone... everyone is really happy she is getting help.

Although no information about the teenagers problems has been released, there is speculation she may be receiving help for self-mutilation issues.

The star has spoken about her struggle with bullying in the past, and was pictured with angry red marks on her wrist several times in 2008. Her spokesperson was quick to shoot down rumours the marks were the result of cutting however, releasing a statement about the marks.

Demi was wearing gummy bracelets just prior to her appearance on the red carpet and, because of how tight they were, they left indentations on her wrist, Demis publicist said. These allegations are completely false. (C) Cover Media
