Demi Moore has slammed people for saying she should change her Twitter name, insisting it's not her "top priority".

The Hollywood star recently announced she is divorcing her husband Ashton Kutcher, following allegations he was unfaithful on their sixth wedding anniversary.

After the announcement many started speculating that Demi would change her username on the social media website, where she's currently known as mrskutcher.

The star has apparently tired of constant queries about her Twitter handle.

"changing my twitter name isn't a top priority right now. sorry it bothers so many of u. should I not tweet until I do?does it really matter (sic)?" she fumed on the site.

A host of Demi's fans were quick to back her up. Many insisted there is absolutely no reason for her to alter her moniker on the site, with most more worried about how she is handling her heartbreak.

"You don't need to change your twitter name just yet," iam2103 wrote.

"it don't Demi what's most important is u are ok and have support xx," dan5750 added.

There have been fears for Demi's heath following her relationship turmoil.

In the wake of the allegations against Ashton she became increasingly frail, leading some to claim she was not eating enough.

The star is understood to be using Kabbalah counselling to get her through the tough time.
