(Cover) - EN Movies - Diablo Cody is to make her directorial debut with Lamb of God.

The American screenwriter is famed for penning 2007 smash Juno, and she will now try her hand at moviemaking with comedy Lamb of God, which she also wrote.

The movie will tell the story of a religious young lady who loses her faith after a plane crash and decides to conduct a sinful lifestyle in Los Vegas. Casting is scheduled to begin soon, and according to a press release the picture has been fast-tracked by Mandate Pictures so decisions should be made within the coming month.

Blogger Diablo has posted her own thoughts on the movie, and her enthusiasm shines through. The 33-year-old insists the movie isn't as cynical as it may appear from the synopsis.

"It's about a woman who survives a plane crash and loses her faith in everything. (Comedy gold!) Seriously though, it's not the cynicism-fest implied by the log line. It's a nice Christmas story," she explained. (C) Cover Media
