Dita Von Teese discusses grown up' scent

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Dita Von Teese says her new fragrance is for "grown-up girls".

The 38-year-old burlesque dancer and model has been developing her own perfume, which she worked on in Paris in collaboration with Luxesse of Germany.

Dita is immensely proud of the scent she's created, and admits she worked hard to ensure it stands apart from the vast number of celebrity fragrances that are on the market.

"It's a fragrance for everyone, and I'm really proud of the level of sophistication we reached both with the packaging and the fragrance," she told WWD.

"There's no fruity vanilla bulls**t. I'm sorry, but you know what I mean? A lot of celebrity fragrances are fruit, vanilla, and I wanted something for grown-up girls."

Dita's perfume will be priced at 22 euros, and is due to launch alongside her lingerie line in Australia later this year. It is expected to reach US and international markets next year.

The raven-haired beauty recalled her decision to venture into the realm of fragrance, admitting her boyfriend Louis-Marie de Castelbajac's mom played a part.

"My signature fragrance that I've been wearing since I was 14 is Quelques Fleurs, and I had to stop wearing it because my boyfriend's mother wore it," she laughed.

"So that was a perfect time to develop my own fragrance. We've only just come up with the scent, so I'm still working on my lingo, but it's a lot of luscious flowers - Bulgarian rose, tiare, peony - and there's a sexy wood." (C) Cover Media
