Dolly Parton: I'll always have surgery

1st August 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Dolly Parton will continue to have cosmetic surgery as long as she has enough money.

The country music singer, who is known for her immaculately styled make-up and big hair, revealed that maintaining her looks is important to her, not least to please her husband.

Aged 65, the star said slacking in the grooming department is not an option.

"I put on make-up every day, even if I'm at home, because I like to look good for my husband. I don't always wear the wigs. I keep my own hair the same colour and just pull it up in a scrunchie. But I never want to look like hell," she told Elle magazine. "As long as I've got the money, if I see something sagging, dragging or bagging, I'll go get nipped, tucked and sucked."

Dolly said that while she hasn't had any big operations in recent years, she relies on other treatments to keep her appearance as youthful as possible.

The 9 to 5 singer explained that cosmetic work makes her feel good about herself, but that she tries not to go too far.

"It's been years since I've had anything major done. Thanks to Botox and fillers, as well as the work that I've already had, my face pretty much maintains itself," she said. "I don't want to look too artificial. I try to do it in good taste. If it makes you feel better about yourself, why not? God didn't make plastic surgeons so they could starve. That's my philosophy."
