Dr. Rajasekhar has a huge fan following in both Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Almost all his Telugu films, dubbed in Tamil, have done good business. The actor is now shooting for the film 'Mahankali' that is directed by his wife Jeevitha. While shooting for a stunt sequence, the actor was injured terribly with bruises over the face and hands. Kanal Kannan the leading action choreographer of Indian Film Industry was choreographing the stunts.

The actor was rushed to the hospital and doctors have advised him to rest for four weeks and then resume work.

'Mahankali' is a bilingual being made in Tamil and Telugu and is produced by Yeluru Sirender Reddy and A Parandhama Reddy under the banner of Anjeri Arts.
