Injured SRK resumes shoot post-accident

24th January 2014
From Filmmakers, to critics, fans and contemporaries, everyone vouches for Shah Rukh Khan's impeccable performances and his zeal for his art. Recently he yet again proved why he deserves to rule the industry.

It so happened, that SRK along with Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani was shooting for their upcoming Farah Khan directorial film 'Happy New Year' at a suburban hotel in Mumbai.

The scene was being shot in the hotel lobby and was approved by Farah after just one take. But on SRK's insistence, it was being reshot.

Everyone including SRK held their positions and all were set to re-enact the scene when suddenly an unhinged door collapsed on SRK and within no time he fell on the floor with blood oozing from his head. His shoulder which was recently operated was injured too.

The crew ran to his rescue and he was immediately taken to Nanavati Hospital, where SRK's doting wife Gauri reached even before the team did. He was immediately operated and was ready to be discharged from the hospital.

But SRK surprised everyone when he announced that he would resume shooting and complete the day's work.

Despite of several attempts, SRK didn't cancel shoot and reported on the venue as soon as he was on his feet.

"Thank u all 4 ur concern m lov,@iamsrk is good n being stubborn about resuming shoot..so v r bk 2 work..god's bn good," Farah Khan tweeted.

"N the entire crew gives a standing ovation 2 the returning hero!@iamsrk", she further wrote.

Way to go SRK!
